Bay Meadows Raceway, San Mateo, California. Bay Meadows Racetrack opened on November 3, 1934. In 2008, it will be closing down for redevelopment (i.e. some real estate people making lots of moula).
Mom used to get upset when dad was at the racetrack. Now that I'm older, I can tell why dad loved it there so much. The excitement, the sportmanship, the adrenaline the crowd gets when their horse is in the home stretch.
